TOMAHAWKS DROP OPENING GAME OF SHOWCASE

The Johnstown Tomahawks were defeated by the Anchorage Wolverines by a final score of 6-2, in the opening game of the 2024 NAHL Showcase

Sean Morgan opened the scoring just over a minute into the game with his first goal of the season, assisted by Ryan Flaherty and Adam Ondris. However, the Wolverines responded with three unanswered goals, taking a 3-1 lead into the first intermission.

The third period saw rising tensions between both teams. Anchorage then extended their lead to 4-1, 13 minutes into the second period. Sam Blanton breathed some life into the Tomahawks with his second goal of the season, cutting the deficit to two as they headed into the locker room.

Anchorage added two more goals in the third, including an empty-netter, as the Tomahawks fell 6-2 in the opening game of the 2024 NAHL Showcase.
