Tomahawks Earn 3 of 4 Points

JOHNSTOWN, Penn. – The Johnstown Tomahawks held on to the end in a high scoring contest, but fell to the New Jersey Titans in a shootout, ending the game 5-6.
The Tomahawks wore special teal jerseys in an effort to Paint the Towns Teal, supporting Ovarian Cancer Awareness. These jerseys were made available through DASH Auctions to fans, with proceeds benefiting the Ann Harris Smith Foundation.

  • Noah Basarab put the Tomahawks on the board with the a assists going to Carson Gallagher and Bennett Stockdale.
  • The Titans tied the score at 1 off the stick of Tyler Nielsen, with the assist to Matt Cameron.
  • New Jersey breaks the tie, going up 2-1 with a goal from Chris Garbe, assisted by Mitch Machlitt and Cade Penney.
  • Mac Wiseman furthers the Titans lead to 3-1, with assists going to Matt Cameron and Kyler Head.
  • Bennett Stockdale found the back of the net, making it 3-2, with the assist from Sean Bauchens.

  • Quinn Warmuth tied it up, 3-3, with assists coming from Tristan Poissant and Matthew Doyle.

  • New Jersey again ties the score at 4-4, with a goal from Mitch Machlitt, assisted by Ole Andersen and Matthew Iasenza.

The Tomahawks will hit the road next weekend for contests against the Maine Nordiques. Johnstown will return home later in October to take on the Northeast Generals on October 25th, 26th, and 27th.Two promotions are on deck with the next home stand, when October 26th will be Trick or Treat Night at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA, and October 27 is the annual Sundies Undies Toss.
