TOMAHAWKS END REGULAR SEASON WITH A WIN

The Johnstown Tomahawks defeated the Maryland Black Bears by a final score of 4-1 in the regular season finale on Saturday night.

As the final game of the regular season kicked off between the Johnstown Tomahawks and the Maryland Black Bears, anticipation ran high as both teams aimed to conclude the season with a victory. The Tomahawks took the lead in the first period with a goal from Taybor Aldrich, setting the tone early against the Black Bears. Will Moore then widened the Tomahawks’ lead with assists from Lukas Klemm and Nick White, securing a 2-0 advantage in favor of the Tomahawks after the initial period of play.

Will Moore opened the scoring with his second goal of the evening on the power play, propelling the Tomahawks to a commanding 3-0 advantage. Following suit, Chase Sandhu extended their lead to 4-0 with a goal assisted by Isaac Holt. Tomahawks’ goaltender Zack Ferris exhibited perfection between the pipes, denying all 16 shots on goal he faced in the initial two periods.

Maryland managed to score the lone goal of the period. Despite their efforts, it wasn’t enough, as the Johnstown Tomahawks emerged victorious over the Maryland Black Bears, sealing a 4-1 victory. Goaltender Zack Ferris played a pivotal role in the Tomahawks’ win stopping, 32 of the 33 shots on goal.

Tickets for the initial round of the Robertson Cup Playoffs are currently available for purchase on the Johnstown Tomahawks website. This playoff round will follow a best-of-three format, with matches set for next Friday at 7:30 PM and Saturday at 7:00 PM. Should it be required, a third game is slated for Sunday at 4:00 PM.
