TOMAHAWKS EXTEND WIN STREAK TO FOUR

The Johnstown Tomahawks defeated the New Jersey Titans by a score of, 5-1 on Saturday night.

The Johnstown Tomahawks continued their momentum from the previous night by promptly scoring the first goal, courtesy of Cade Baker, assisted by Justin Rapp and Will Moore. The initial period proved eventful, with a brief pause in the game due to a glass break. Nevertheless, the Tomahawks’ ice maintenance team swiftly repaired the issue, allowing the game to resume. By the conclusion of the first period, the Tomahawks held a 1-0 lead. 

The second period proved to be highly eventful for the East Division Rivals. Will Lawrence initiated the scoring for the Tomahawks, assisted by Zach Aben, extending their lead to 2-0. Shortly thereafter, Isaac Holt notched another goal, assisted by Hank Reed and Dylan Shane, bringing the score to 3-0 in favor of the Tomahawks. Despite the New Jersey Titans finding the back of the net, narrowing the gap to 3-1, Tomahawks’ Captain Zach Aben swiftly responded with a shorthanded goal, assisted by Will Lawrence. The Tomahawks continued their scoring streak as Justin Gibson scored a power-play goal, with assists from Alexey Yarmulnik and Justin Rapp. As the second period concluded, the Tomahawks headed to the locker room with a commanding lead of 5-1.

Throughout the entirety of the third period, the score remained unchanged, and the Tomahawks ultimately secured a victory with a score of 5-1, extending their winning streak to four consecutive games. Goaltender Jacob Osborne demonstrated an impressive performance by stopping 41 out of 42 shots on goal.
