Tomahawks Fall in Overtime to Wild 3-2

        Dakoda Menslage tied the game with 18 seconds remaining in regulation, but the Wenatchee Wild scored an early overtime goal to defeat the Johnstown Tomahawks 3-2 on Guns and Hoses Night Presented by L&M Excavating. The loss snaps the Tomahawks four-game winning streak, but increases the streak to six games with at least one point.

        The Tomahawks struck first, as Matthew Meier beat Austin Priebe at 8:31 of the first period. Meier now has eight points in his last five games. Tanner Barnes and Dakoda Menslage each added assists on the goal.

        Parker Tuomie tied the game for the Wild with a power-play goal at 16:55 of the first period. Tuomie gave the Wild the lead at 11:42 of the second period. Troy Loggins and Mitch Demario each added assists on the first goal, while Demario and Ryan Gotelaere were credited with the assists on the second goal.

        The Tomahawks tied the game late in the third period, as Dakoda Menslage with 19 seconds remaining in the third period. Menslage now has five points in his last five games, including three against the Wild this weekend. Mitch Hall and Brandon Reinholz each added assists on the goal.

        The Wild won the game 14 seconds into overtime as David Powlowski was able to tip the puck past Alex Okicki. Chris Jones added the assist on the goal.

        Pribe earned the win, stopping 21 of 23 shots. Okicki took the loss stopping 31 of 34 shots. The loss snaps Okicki’s four-game winning streak.
