Tomahawks Fall to Titans 3-1

Oct 30, 2021

The Tomahawks fall short to the New Jersey Titans by a final score of 3-1 Saturday night in Johnstown.

New Jersey came out strong again to start the 1st period with 15 shots on goal in the first 20. Brendan Dumas scored 52 seconds in for the Titans, but goaltender Sam Evola was solid in net otherwise stopping all other 14 shots faced.

Dusty Geregach tied the game for the Tomahawks in the 2nd period, scoring a shorthanded goal at the 4:46 mark. After a pair of Tomahawks penalties, the Titans took the lead again with Anthony Calafiore putting one behind Evola, giving New Jersey a one-goal advantage going into the 3rd period.

New Jersey broke away in the 3rd period with a third goal from Rocco Testa-Basi to make it 3-1 Titans with 10:57 remaining in regulation. Despite a valiant effort in the final stages of the game, the Tomahawks were not able to make the late comeback in the game and would suffer their second straight loss to the Titans.

The Tomahawks are back in action on November 12 and 13 at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA for Veteran’s Day Weekend against the Northeast Generals. Tickets can be purchased through the Tomahawks office or via Ticketmaster.com.
