The Johnstown Tomahawks were unable to overcome an early third period goal, as the Warriors picked up the 2-1 win on Friday night at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.

For the 20th time this season, the Tomahawks got on the board first, as Josh Bowes shot hit off of Trevor Gorsuch and went into the net at 4:21 of the first period. Tyler Basham and Jake Houston added assists, with Houston earning his first Tomahawks point.

The Warriors tied the game, as Joshua Shellman’s shot from above the left faceoff circle made it past Alex Okicki at 17:12 of the first period.

After a scoreless second period, which included a delay on the ice, Farkas scored the game winner on a shot that went top shelf on the left side at 2:23 of the third period. The Tomahawks had opportunities late in the period, but Gorsuch and the Warriors were able to close the door and earn the victory.

Gorsuch earned the win, stopping 28 of 29 shots. Okicki took the loss, allowing two goals on 22 shots. The Tomahawks did not commit a penalty in the game, and went 0-for-4 on the power play. They outshot the Warriors 29-22 in the game.
