TOMAHAWKS LOOK TO JUMP TITANS IN EAST DIVISION STANDINGS WITH CRUCIAL MATCHUPS IN NEW JERSEY

Nov 26, 2025

The Johnstown Tomahawks will look to start another win streak on Friday night after splitting another series last weekend. The Tomahawks will travel to Middletown, New Jersey to take on the New Jersey Titans on Friday, November 28th at 7:00PM and on Saturday, November 29th at 5:30PM.

A LOOK BACK AT LAST SEASON

Both teams have been apart of the NAHL for 10+ years now as New Jersey is currently in year 10, while the Tomahawks are in the midst of year 13. On numerous occasions over the last 10 seasons, one of these two teams was on the receiving end of a knockout blow from the other, ultimately ending the other’s playoff run. It’s truly one of the best rivalries league-wide and it’s always a spirited matchup when the games take place, especially in Johnstown with over 2,500+ in attendance.

Last year the Tomahawks and Titans faced off six times just like every division foe, in which the Tomahawks “technically” won the season series with three wins. The Titans also won three games, but one of them came in overtime, meaning the Tomahawks grabbed a point and gathered seven points in the standings to the Titans six. The Tomahawks and the Titans indeed met again in the playoffs and it was a dominant showing from the Tomahawks as they swept the Titans in the best of three series, winning both games on the road.

2025-2026 KEYS TO THE MATCHUP

  • Tomahawks Head Coach Adam Houli will try to find a way to get his team on a sustained winning streak, following a big win at home.
  • After a historic start to the season – which feels like an eternity ago, The Tomahawks still find themselves at 6th in the East after what feels like the case for the last month but only sit two points behind the Titans for 2nd place.
  • The Titans are having a solid season, holding a 13-7-3 record through 23 games played.
  • When the two teams on Home Opener weekend in Johnstown, both matchups were filled with excitement with the Tomahawks slightly grabbing the edge with 3/4 pts while NJ grabbed just 2/4.
  • The Titans are led by defensemen Blake Jones, who has recorded an impressive 29 points (2G, 27A) in 23GP, good for 9th amongst all skaters in the NAHL
  • Tomahawks Captain Nick Jarmain is continuing to score at a heavy clip, with 18 goals and 12 assists in 23 games played, putting him at 30 points for 7th overall in the league.

A HUGE set of games are head in New Jersey this weekend following the Thanksgiving holiday. With just two points separating the 2nd and 6th seeds in the East, it forecasts to be 120+ minutes of playoff style hockey.
