Tomahawks Put Up a Fight But Fall Short Against Mountain Kings

The Johnstown Tomahawks fall 5-3 against the New Hampshire Mountain Kings.

In the initial period of the game, New Hampshire took the lead with a power-play goal just 1:29 into the contest. The Johnstown Tomahawks retaliated minutes later, with Dylan McElhinny scoring an impressive unassisted goal. However, as the period drew to a close, New Hampshire managed to find the back of the net once more, leaving the Tomahawks behind by a solitary goal as they headed into the next period.

The Tomahawks had numerous power-play opportunities, but they couldn’t capitalize and score. Both goaltenders made impressive saves. As the second period, came to a close, the score remained unchanged, with the Tomahawks still trailing the Mountain Kings 1-2 after 40 minutes of play.

As the third period began, the Tomahawks, trailing by two, were eager for a comeback victory. However, New Hampshire quickly added two more goals, extending their lead to 4-1. Jeremy LaCroix managed to score with assists from Taybor Aldrich and Ryan Panico, narrowing the gap to 4-2. Then, in the waning seconds, Justin Gibson netted a goal for the Tomahawks. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough, and New Hampshire scored an empty net goal to win the game 5-3.
