Tomahawks, Rajalin-Scharp Blank Hat Tricks

The Johnstown Tomahawks defeated the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks 6-0 Friday night with Alec Rajalin-Scharp earning his second shutout in his past three games.

The Tomahawks wasted no time Friday night as Ethan Perrault scored his fourth goal of the season 33 seconds into the contest. Will Moore netted a second goal in the first period for the Tomahawks, putting them up 2-0 to end the first period.

The Tomahawks came out on fire in the second period as well with three goals, scored by Andrew King, netting his first of the season, Will Lawrence and Ryan Vellucci in the first ten minutes. The Hat Tricks held the Tomahawks off the scoresheet in the second half of the period, but the Tomahawks were headed to the third period with a 5-0 lead.

Justin Rapp sealed the deal for Johnstown 3:34 into the third period with his third goal of the season, giving the Tomahawks a 6-0 win over the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks Friday night. Alec Rajalin-Scharp made 17 saves in the shoutout.

The two teams face off again at Danbury Ice Arena tomorrow afternoon at 3 PM live on HockeyTV.
