Tomahawks Sweep Rebels on Home Ice

The Johnstown Tomahawks swept the Philadelphia Rebels this weekend with a 4-3 win Sunday afternoon to close out the three-game series in Johnstown. Alec Rajalin-Scharp was in net for all three Johnstown wins this weekend.

Anthony Galante struck first Sunday afternoon on the power play with his 24th goal of the season. Ryan Johnson then scored his tenth of the season just 2:12 later to put the Tomahawks up 2-0 over the Rebels going into the second period.

Connor Sedlak got his club on the board with a power play goal for Philadelphia coming 1:39 into the middle frame. The Tomahawks regained the two-goal lead at the 8:30 mark of the second period as Will Moore’s tenth of the season made it 3-1 Tomahawks to start the third.

David Deputy scored 5:19 into the third period to bring the Rebels within one once again. Will Lawrence capped off the scoring for Johnstown with 7:16 remaining in regulation. Philadelphia made things interesting as Maxwell Marquette scored with just 46 seconds remaining in regulation. The game went down to the very end, but Johnstown held it out to win 4-3.

The Tomahawks head back out on the road next weekend for two games against the Maine Nordiques on Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1. Both games will be broadcast live on HockeyTV.
