TOMAHAWKS TAKE DOWN MARYLAND

The Johnstown Tomahawks defeated the Maryland Black Bears by a final score of, 4-3 on Wednesday night.

The Tomahawks were set on securing vital points this Wednesday evening as they faced off against the Maryland Black Bears. Johnstown initiated the scoring in the opening period with a goal from Cade Baker, assisted by Justin Rapp, propelling them to a 1-0 lead over the Maryland Black Bears at the conclusion of the first period.

Captain Zach Aben opened the second period with his 21st goal of the season, assisted by Nick White and Will Moore, extending the Tomahawks’ lead to 2-0 against Maryland. Just minutes later, Reid joined in the action with a goal of his own, stretching the lead to 3-0. The Tomahawks maintained their momentum with Will Lawrence’s power-play goal, assisted by Nick White and Lukas Klemm. With four unanswered goals, the Tomahawks surged ahead 4-0 over the Maryland Black Bears by the end of the second period

The third period would not go the Tomahawk’s way as Maryland would score three unanswered goals. However, the Tomahawks still ended up on top defeating the Maryland Black Bears by a final score of, 4-3.
