TOMAHAWKS TAKEN DOWN BY REBELS

The Johnstown Tomahawks win streak was snapped by the Philadelphia Rebels by a final score of, 4-2 on Saturday night.

The Philadelphia Rebels initiated the scoring in the opening period, securing an early lead against the Johnstown Tomahawks. With both teams vying for vital points, the intensity was palpable, resulting in a physical first period. Nonetheless, the Rebels’ solitary goal stood as the sole scoring action, leaving the Tomahawks trailing by one as they retreated to the locker room.

The Rebels maintained their scoring momentum into the second period, netting two goals without reply to widen their lead over the Johnstown Tomahawks to 3-0. However, midway through the period, Reid Lune found the back of the net for the Tomahawks with an assist from Justin Gibson, bringing the score to 3-1. As the period drew to a close, the Tomahawks trailed the Rebels by a margin of two goals.

Philadelphia struck again in the third period, extending their lead to 4-1. Despite Jaden Johnson’s effort to ignite a rally for the Tomahawks with a goal, assisted by Zach Aben and Dylan Shane, cutting the Rebels’ lead in half to 4-2. However, the comeback attempt ultimately fell short as the Johnstown Tomahawks were defeated by the Philadelphia Rebels, 4-2.

The Johnstown Tomahawks will return home to the 1ST SUMMIT Arena next weekend to face the New Hampshire Mountain King.
