JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Tomahawks are proud to announce that Hockey Hall of Fame member and four-time Stanley Cup Champion PAUL COFFEY will drop the ceremonial game puck for the Tomahawks home opener at the 1ST SUMMIT ARENA on Saturday Oct. 14, against rivals, the Philadelphia Rebels, at 7 p.m.
A native of Weston, Ontario, Coffey first came to the Penguins in 1987 and played for four and a half seasons with Pittsburgh, winning a Stanley Cup in 1991. Coffey ranks 13th in NHL points with 1,531 and he’s considered one of the greatest offensive defenseman of all times.

Coffey holds over 20 NHL records including the fastest defenseman in NHL history to score 1000 points and the only defenseman to score 40 or more goals in multiple seasons. Coffey was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004.
Coffey’s appearance is presented in part by 1ST SUMMIT BANK, Laurel Auto Group, Emaps, Inco Beverage, Johnstown Construction, Roxbury Tire and Valley Printing. Mr. Coffey will be available to meet fans and sign autographs following the ceremonial puck drop behind section 9.
