#2 Ryan Bednard Drafted by Florida Panthers

    Throughout the 2014-15 season, Tomahawks fans wondered if goaltender Ryan Bednard would be selected in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. On June 27, that became a reality, as Bednard became the first Tomahawks player selected in the NHL Entry Draft. Bednard was selected in the seventh round (206th overall) by the Florida Panthers. Seven players with NAHL ties were selected in the 2015 NAHL Entry Draft, the most since 2010.
