Location: Revolution Ice Centre | Pittston, Pennsylvania

THE JOHNSTOWN TOMAHAWKS

Your Tomahawks are back on the road this weekend to take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights in a crucial division matchup before the holiday break.

Johnstown is riding a four-game winning streak after a two-game sweep of the Northeast Generals last weekend at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.

Additionally, the Tomahawks have been receiving production from their top line, the Hunter-Buncis-Ott trio which has lead them to success over the past two weeks.

The success culminated in Dalton Hunter earning East Division Star of the Week honors for the week ending December 5. Hunter scored a natural hat trick on December 4 against Northeast in a 7-2 romp.

IN their previous matchup, the Tomahawks and Knights battled at the War Memorial with the Tomahawks taking both games including a come-from-behind win on Saturday, Nov. 26.

This time the rivalry shifts to Northeastern Pennsylvania, where the Tomahawks are 2-2-0 this campaign.

WHO’S HOT

Dalton Hunter has a three-game point streak coming into tonight’s contest. The Greensburg native hhas notched nine points in those three games.

His linemate, Filips Buncis, has the hot hand as well as he currently has a four-game point streak.

THE WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON KNIGHTS

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton returns to their kingdom despite falling in two consecutive games to New Jersey and Aston respectively.

The Knights (12-15-1) are in third place in the East Division and look to take four points from Johnstown at home.

Last night, the Knights dropped a 5-3 contest to the division-leading Aston Rebels.  Mike Gelatt, Curtis Carlson and Dorian Dawsom found the twine but it wasn’t enough to upend the Rebels as Gvido Jansons netted two goals en route to the win.

In his return to the net, goaltender Grant Valentine stopped 26 of 31 in the loss.

The Knights are lead in scoring by Khristian Acosta, who has earned 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists). Gelatt is second to Acosta with 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists).
