Tomahawks Announce 2017-18 Schedule

JOHNSTOWN – The Johnstown Tomahawks, in collaboration with the North American Hockey League, announced its 2017-18 regular season schedule. In total, the Tomahawks will play 60 games with 28 games played at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.
Going into their sixth season, the Tomahawks will continue to play in the East Division along with four other teams: Aston Rebels, Northeast Generals, New Jersey Titans and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights.
The Tomahawks season will begin in September with road trips to Northeast, Minnesota (NAHL Annual Showcase) and Aston.
The team returns to Johnstown for their HOME OPENER on Saturday, Oct. 14 against the defending East Division champion and Robertson Cup runner-up Aston Rebels at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.
November features five home games beginning with a three-game set Nov. 3-5 against the New Jersey Titans. Johnstown wraps up their home schedule in November with two games at the War Memorial Nov. 10-11 against the Knights.
In December, the Tomahawks are home seven times including a visit from the Fairbanks Ice Dogs on New Year’s Eve weekend.
The Kenai River Brown Bears visit in the month of January, with home games scheduled for Jan. 5-6. Northeast visits for a three-game series Jan. 12-14 while Aston visits the War Memorial on Jan. 19-20.
The Tomahawks will host Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Feb. 23-24.
Rounding out the schedule will be three home games March 16-18 against Northeast and the final home stand of the season will be Friday and Saturday, April 6-7 against Aston.
A full schedule of promotional nights, specialty games, times and community events will be released at a later date.
