“Hawks in the Classroom” With the Johnstown Tomahawks
Our new program, “Hawks in the Classroom” is a fun interactive program that we will be offering all season. This program will focus on fun, engaging activities during visits. As a team, we will have some pre-planned activities that we can offer but we are also encouraging teachers to come up with ideas for our players to come into the classroom to engage in. Some options on our end will: STEM-themed activities, trivia-themed activities, a visit as a fun day as an incentive reward to students, and special-themed week visits. This program will focus on variety, fun, and engagement for players and students.
This will be open to the Johnstown and surrounding areas. We are excited to keep this as a fun and engaging program not only for the students but for our players as well.
How it works:
- Teachers will register for this season’s programs
- Teachers will then be contacted by a Tomahawks staff member with more information and to set up a classroom visit if desired.
- There will be nothing to print and send home on a monthly basis for this program. Each visit will be a little different and details will be worked out with each individual teacher.
